Yessiree. Just north of Neighgeria.

I'll shut up now.
Wouldn't surprise me in the least that they would do that.
Way to go Sweetie Bot. Beat EqD by a whole minute.
Seeing this, and all the other things that have been shown, my guess is that the foreign diplomats take a liking to Trixie's performance and after she's beaten at the end of the episode (because, really, who thinks she won't?) they'll ask her to come with them to perform in their country. Happy ending for all!

Unless the FiM makers have Trixie run off again. Boo.

I've got mixed feelings about this one.

On one hand, it's nice to see that the bullying lesson from the previous episode is revisited for the grownups. Bullies don't go away in your adult life, that's a good lesson to impart. On the other hand, it does look like the writers are going for the cliché and predictable amulet of power story. Please don't let it be just that, give some backstory that justifies a rise in power aside from 'Oooh, shiny evil!'

I'm really hoping there's a good twist to the story, though. This has got me really worried. They didn't disappoint with Babs Seed, they can't disappoint with Trixie. Either she gets run out of town at the end and is left to let her hate fester some more, or she finally realises that the way she's going isn't the road to happiness.

That, or this turns out to be a fake Trixie. Or a possessed Trixie, by some entity we haven't seen yet. Sombra's too obvious: I'm hoping that at best Trixie studied the same dark magics he did, but didn't actually make contact. There's no plot I can think of that would make Sombra agree to let Trixie borrow his power while he remains locked in an amulet. The envoys are from Saddle Arabia, I guess that leaves an opening for a djinn of some sort to appear?

Actually, on a side note: the odds are pretty big this just hints at a new villain altogether. Trixie could get an upgrade, but more likely she's possessed by an entirely new evil. Why would I think this? Two reasons. One: the glowy eyes has been established as being a sign of evil, but the glows have been purple or green. Unless the clip is using a different colour from in the show, there's no reason to think it's Sombra. Second: each villain so far has had a very well-defined mode of action. If you look at the other spoiler, you see what amount to body horror. No villain has done that yet.

And besides: these spoilers are released specifically to pull at our strings. They know we'll think it's Sombra, and then it'll turn out not to be. Like Discord, at the wedding.

And yeah, calling it again: Celestia watches Twilight get humiliated and does nothing. Rules are set, and Twi's loss is by the book, making Twilight bitter at some point. This is a set-up for when Twilight turns evil in the season finale.
