Joseph Houser: And, now back to the actual Nightly Megathread already in progress after the break...

Mane6 dev team update - New Engine?

A small bit of update from the Mane6 team. Not only does Lauren help them with new characters, there's also a new game engine in sight. It's the Skullgirls Engine.
There's a video after the break that shows some footage, so that you know what it looks like.

So, here's the deal:
Lab Zero Games, the developers of Skullgirls, are currently running an indiegogo campain to raise funds for the production of new DLC characters for the game.
And, though actually not being affiliated to Mane6 in any way, they decided to give them a license to use the engine for free if the campaign yielded at least 725k USD. They already surpassed an impressive 400k USD mark, but the campaign ends in 12 days. So it still needs quite a lot of money...

Spread the word wherever you can!

Snowdrop Premiere Date

March is an awesome time to be a brony, it seems. Silly Filly Studios, the people behind Daylight's End, have announced a premiere date for their next project, Snowdrop. The 15-minute animation will premiere on Bronystate on Thursday, March 21 at 8 PM EST. Some of the SFS will be there as well, to give interviews and commentary. You can find more info here. See you there.

Ultra Fast Pony (Episode 26)

Only relevant due to title of picture... I guess...

If you wanted a abridged-like FiM series parody that's completely different from Witchcraft or Mentally Advanced (but still enjoyable) or just one that was faster in terms of a shorter length and episodes released quicker than those two examples I just mentioned (for the time being), then Ultra Fast Pony (or UFP) is right up your alley... I mean, it's just this one guy (wacarb) doing all the voice dubbing like LittleKuriboh back in Season 1 of Yu-Gi-Oh! Abridged...

As an "avid" follower of this series, I can honestly say... that this is, in fact, the longest episode in the series so far... (In mean, it's in the title... so you know it's true...)

You can start here if you watch to see this series from the beginning or to catch up on any episodes you may have missed so far... And/or click here, here (if you're a non-American), or go after the break to check out this self-record breaking episode...

(The most shocking thing about this series, besides its own tvtropes page... UFP parodied Season 1 of FiM chronologically by air time...)

Artsy-Wartsy Stuff #196

Please don't startle her...
More art after the break, as always.

Official Comic news

comicbookresources.com released IDW's publishing solicitations for June, 2013.
There are some news, I guess, for issue #8, micro series #5 (Pinkie Pie) and the issue #1 Treasury Edition we mentioned a while ago.
The latter is especially interesting. Not only does it contain all 48 original covers that were made for the first four issues, it's also a black & white coloring book! The complete first issue of the official comic for you to drown in colors.
As someone commented on this: Buy it and color everything incorrectly.

Look all of it up here (scroll down to the middle) or find it copypasted after the break.

Disucussion: What if FiM was Crowd-Sourced?

So while derping around the internets between completing mountains of homeworks and activities I came across a thought-provoking article on Kickstarter's blog. Let's talk about it after the break!
