Mike's Mischevious M...Nocturnal Megathread (#36)

All right, to tartarus with the cake gods! Spiderman and I do what we want!

Mike and Swat with the NM! Go after the pagebreak that was totally there! (WE DIDN'T FORGET IT!)

Random vid out of nowhere:
Well that's mean, Applejack. What will Swatteam think?

The scary random video attacks won't stop...

It's too late to stop the fad from laying eggs now but honestly I don't mind it's existence...

Anyways by now, lurking around the FIM community you've probably run into Taobao a few times But what exactly is Taobao? It's secrets seem hidden behind it's language for those not familiar with chinese. That is why I've compiled this short research segment. Prepare for a Taobao Safari!

So according to Wikipedia, Taobao is run by Alibaba Group, a family of Internet-related businesses that trade anything and everything. (And I mean everything; I was going to get Polylactic Acid for my 3-D printer from Alibaba!)

After browsing Taobao for an hour or two, using google tools to help me translate stuff, I found many online stores that sell FIM-related and Hasbro-related merch. The site almost has the feel of an enormous online market place, like amazon.com or something...

Oh, and I found this while browsing...
nope.avi...

But the listing on Taobao seems to claim that they have MLP:FIM season 2 DVDs with 18 of the episodes, which would be awesome if true. Oh Taobao, you so crazy. Other potentially relevant Taobao sites here, here, here, and here, for the more adventurous/bored of you.

...And that makes for a good segway into a similar conversation. To what extent do you think the spread of MLP:FIM is limited by language and cultural boundaires? What do you think of FIM sites in other languages, like Equestrianet? Do you make an effort to visit sites on the internet where english is not the main language?
