Equestria Girls 2?

So this appeared on Amazon. No real information on it other than an author. What could it mean? We'll have to wait and see. Thanks to Sweetie Bot for finding it.

A bit of news and whatnot for you today. I'm no Mike, but I'm doing the best I can. Head past the break.

Morning post #16?

Not so quiet a morning for the brony community today - and busy for me too! I'll be quick.

Morning Post #12

Yep. More 3D prints out there on the web. Also more activity on Tumblr and an excellent LOTR/MLP crossover shirt. Just revived the zecorathread earlier, so come join us for yet more rhymes!

~2 lines? that's the most I think I've ever condensed the meat-and-potatoes of a post into!

"Morning" post #10?

After this, let's all go speak rhyme again! As you may have noticed, we have a new megathread! ...Not sure we can sustain two at a time, but maybe we can just merge them. News and funnies after the break!

Morning post #9?

Relatively slow morning... without fail though, Sweetie Bot found some cool stuff. Also a little news tidbit for anyone interested. The rest, after the break.

Morning Post #8

Here's a PMV that was submitted earlier this morning, and after the break, lots more new stuff.

Morning Post #4?

This was printed with 100 micron layer height and is roughly 7 inches long... It must have taken all day! (source)

No news in the inbox... People, if you find neat stuff or do neat stuff, send it in! We'll post it! But seeing as it's a quiet morning in the brony community, with not much going on out of the ordinary, I'll just make an update on the 3D-printing bronies, and then move on to general science nerdgasm stuff, because why not?
Anyways, you can find everything after the break.

The Living Library Casting

Always relevant

The folks over at The Living Library Players Society are casting for their weekly livestream. They are currently in need of female voice actors, specifically Trixie. So if you're a  girl (or can pass as one) send auditions over to thelivinglibraryplayersociety@gmail.com. Good luck.

News Tidbits #2?

Sent that over to Sweetie Bot, thought he might get a kick out of it. SB found more news that hasn't yet been posted on Eqd by the way. So for the first time in a while, let's post the news before them! Check it out after the page break!
New stuff added, post bumped. Thanks Sweetie Bot!

News Tidbits #I forget

Not all that much to share, but the Huffington Post apparently recommends This Day Aria to go with the birth of the new royal baby, amongst other things... interesting.
Also, a couple short SFMs that Sweetie Bot found, after the break.

SB's news #1

As you may know, Sweetie Bot has a knack for getting all the news in the brony community first.  Besides all the big stuff you may have already seen posted on other news sites by now (which he tweeted about before most of them made their posts), today he found...

Afternoon Livestream?

I've been meaning to do a live stream to keep the site lively while we wait for the coding to be done, but since there are so few people still around, it'll be nearly empty if we just do it all of a sudden. So what date works best for everyone? If there's enough interest, the livestream could be this afternoon. But perhaps some people will be less busy on Saturday or Sunday? Let me know in the comments. Perhaps we can start up a WhenToMeet or something. So far the plan is to do a quick 3D-printing Q&A, and watch Connections, a documentary series I've been mentioning recently.

Also it seems all the other 3D-printing bronies are moving to Sculpteo, lol. I've got a bit of a different plan.

Equestria Girls Merch in Germany

This one has Sleep a little worked up so I'll toss it up myself. Germany is expected to receive Equestria Girls merch some time this summer. A incredible variety of toys including a doll, two dolls, a doll and her pony self and... something about Rainbow's hair? Guess we'll have to wait and see. This can only mean the show is drawing nearer. Check out DHN for the original article.

In case you missed the Japanese stream today, the opening is up on YouTube.
Thanks to Colgate for finding it.

EDIT: Replaced it with a better version.

Celestia's lost student?

Well, look at this. After all, the "mysterious masked pony" we saw a while ago really seems to become a major character. This snippet is from a box of her toy. The full picture is below the break.

It says Sunset Shimmer was a student of Celestia years ago. And it kind of announces a "special celebration". That's the reason for the masked ponies we saw on the ToyFair pictures.

I'd consider this to be more than a rumor... So, have a discussion. What do you think will happen?

Mane6 dev team update - New Engine?

A small bit of update from the Mane6 team. Not only does Lauren help them with new characters, there's also a new game engine in sight. It's the Skullgirls Engine.
There's a video after the break that shows some footage, so that you know what it looks like.

So, here's the deal:
Lab Zero Games, the developers of Skullgirls, are currently running an indiegogo campain to raise funds for the production of new DLC characters for the game.
And, though actually not being affiliated to Mane6 in any way, they decided to give them a license to use the engine for free if the campaign yielded at least 725k USD. They already surpassed an impressive 400k USD mark, but the campaign ends in 12 days. So it still needs quite a lot of money...

Spread the word wherever you can!

Snowdrop Premiere Date

March is an awesome time to be a brony, it seems. Silly Filly Studios, the people behind Daylight's End, have announced a premiere date for their next project, Snowdrop. The 15-minute animation will premiere on Bronystate on Thursday, March 21 at 8 PM EST. Some of the SFS will be there as well, to give interviews and commentary. You can find more info here. See you there.

Lauren Faust Needs Your Help

(Relevant because animals. Also Fluttershy.)

It's not pony-related, but when Lauren Faust speaks, bronies listen. And now she wants our help with the Wildlife Learning Center. WLC is a non-profit group that cares for wild animals and uses them to help teach about conservation. Being non-profit, they rely on donations to keep operating. They're currently running an IndieGogo campaign to help raise the money, with various perks for each donation level. Find the donation page here and Lauren's dA journal here.

New Under the Sparkling Sea Preview Pages

Source
The Round Stable got some high-res preview pictures of that upcoming "Under the Sparkling Sea" book. Yes, the one with the... interestingly designed... sea ponies.
The ones which appeared a while ago are there as well as some new ones.
Apparently all of them were included on those Mimoco flash drives from a while ago. You probably saw them elsewhere.
Anyway, there are three new pictures. And... they actually look quite amazing...

Find the new pictures after the break and also make sure to hit The Round Stable's article.
