Rarity vs. Giant Crab

For some time now, there has been fan art of Rarity about to battle against a giant crab... It wasn't until I heard this battle theme for this fight that it got me thinking of the most simplest question that probably has a simple answer to go with it... Who would win in that fight? Rarity or the Giant Crab?

Then, as I thought harder on this subject, I thought up a few more questions...

Midday Megathread: Bread Edition

Apparently, I can't think up ideas that don't involve food. So here we go. If I learned anything from "Lilo and Stitch: The Series" (and I did), it's that the type of bread can make or break the sandwich. I can only assume this rule holds true in the pony universe too. And that leads to my question. What do you think your favorite pony's favorite type of bread is? From Wonderbread  to Pumpernickel, leave your answer below

Cooking With Ponies

Today, while I was eating my equivalent to eating lunch... I randomly starting thinking about what it would be like to cook with my favorite pony... Granted we weren't trying to make it from scratch, but at least we came up with a good breakfast combo of awesomeness...

So,  now the question(s) remain... Which pony would you want to cook with? Will you be teaching the pony how to cook, visa versa, or you're both well enough to cook a decent meal?

BONUS: You can team up with other commenters and their pony of choice to wip up a 3 to 5-course meal... or battle it out "Iron Chef" style...

It's the end of 2013, and Alicorn Twilight was huge hit toy-wise. Hasbro wants to repeat that success, and they've come to you to pick the next Pretty Pony Princess. Their only requirement is that you use a character already in the show, including background ponies. Who do you pick and why? For an extra challenge, create the story behind their ascension.

Anticipating that this weekend would be a rather quiet one, we put our thinking caps on and came up with some participatory activities.

Main event: write a five-sentence MLP:FiM-related "story". Then reply to other folks' stories, extending them so that they fit in the context of your story. It's a world-building exercise. See if you can link every story in the post. (and don't be afraid to start off with some curveballs to make it challenging)

Also, if anyone wishes to do any of the things suggested in the nightly megathread, feel free to do so. Keep seperate activities in separate nested set of comments if possible, except for the main activity.

Mike's Marvellous Miscellanea! (And Documentary Review)

Brace yourself: Discord is coming! No really: this will be a very random post, but hopefully also an enjoyable one.

To start off, what you see above is a 3D-printed Twilight Sparkle, which I printed in ABS on a printer given to my college laboratory (The CollabLab) by Lulzbot; an awesome, very friendly 3D-printing company. The STL for this print was made by another brony (info here or here), and is meant to be printed without support material. There were some issues since I did not use a fan and I kept the bed temperature a little high to make certain the ABS would stick, but all considered it worked out well. And that brings me to the point of all this: very soon I will be making my own 3D printer, at which point I could produce printed ponies commercially. Of course I'd try to get a license or something from Hasbro, but when that's done, 3D printed merchandise could be this site's equivalent of WeLoveFine. But first I'd like to gage interest to see if it'd be worthwhile... So does anyone want 3D-Printed Ponies?
