A High School Dropout

If a speed bump is the appropriate metaphorical obstacle to describe Twilicorn, Equestria Girls would be a towering mountain. Since the initial murmurings of MLP taking an anthropomorphic turn to the duo of trailers released shortly before the film itself, fans continued to wonder whether or not Equestria Girls could prove to be anything other than a contrived, corporate-driven mess. Now that the film has been out in the wild for quite some time, I am disappointed to report that, despite being laced with entertaining moments, the film rarely manages to tell a compelling or even cohesive story. Some statistics about the Season 3 finale in regard of viewers and a summarization of the comic's issue #1 sales have been made.

With the Season 3 finale, the Hub has outdone all the other major cartoon channels for the younger croud, like Cartoon Network, Nicktoons, Disney XD and some more.

Besides, MLP: FiM earned huge percentages in delivery gains among pretty much every age category up to 54. And it seems to be the "most co-viewed network in Kids 2–11 watching with Adults 18–49".

*cough* Yeah. Kids.

The comic's first issue sold rather well in December 2012... Considering only the third printing was counted due to the initial delays. It ranked 12th for IDW's comic releases and 189th in general Top 300 comic sales with 8,605 sold reprints and a total of 95,384 sold copies for issue #1.

Toy Fair 2013 recap

Two of The Round Stable's reporters returned from this year's Toy Fair and wrote down a review of all the pony stuff that was shown there, complete with some background information, pictures and everything. Toon Zone Reviews MLP

Toon Zone has reviewed the Season 1 DVD of MLP. They start by explaining what sets it apart from other shows for little girls, and how it manages to make many overused scenarios and archetypes work. The author speaks from an unbiased view, rather he takes a more analytical approach. In the end, he even makes a nod towards the fandom itself.Overall, it's a pretty fair and praising review
