Not alone in the 3D-printing world anymore. (source)
So a couple months ago now, Discords Domain went on Hiatus. Here's an update about what's been going on behind the scenes on my end. Other mods feel free to add in what they've been up to in the comments.
Steffan Andrews was out on the interwebs and he linked to this article. I have nothing nice to say, so I won't say anything.
But there's good news too! Andrews and Ingraham have been nominated for Leo awards, so yay! Good for them.
...That is all. Go about your business. I'm still busy with science.
...Actually, for the lols, I recommend reviving this humongous thread right here. I doubt anyone knows just why it blew up like that, but trig stumbled across it and there's so many comments it's honestly funny. So let's keep a joke going that's already been going on way too long! XD
According to a flyer at the Tokyo International Anime Fair, My Little Pony ~Tomodachi wa Mahō~ (My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic) has a manga coming. The manga will be in the children's magazine Pucchigumi, which is home to manga for several other children's series. Not much is known about the series, but its artists will be announced later this spring. Check out the article here.
What? Something like news at DD? Heresy, I say.
No really, Comic Book Resources not only revealed the new cover art you see above, but also interviewed Katie Cook, writer of the Micro-Series #3: Rarity.
Questions about the premise of the story, her opinion on Rarity as a character and the Micro-Series, non-pony stuff and more.
And, by the way, it looks like Season 4 will have a Rarity episode.
Also, there's exclusive artwork, showing three pages of the book.
Find the artwork and possible-proof-of-Rarity-episode after the break and the interview in CBR's article.
comicbookresources.com released IDW's publishing solicitations for June, 2013.
There are some news, I guess, for issue #8, micro series #5 (Pinkie Pie) and the issue #1 Treasury Edition we mentioned a while ago.
The latter is especially interesting. Not only does it contain all 48 original covers that were made for the first four issues, it's also a black & white coloring book! The complete first issue of the official comic for you to drown in colors.
As someone commented on this: Buy it and color everything incorrectly.
Look all of it up here (scroll down to the middle) or find it copypasted after the break.
Yet more animations from JanAnimations! And this one's also an ad for Galacon. For me and many of you guys, it's just another awesome event to dream of. ...Lucky European folks...
Excellent news! It looks like the Brony Documentary has been accepted into it's first (and hopefully not last) film festival!
So in the end, despite it's setbacks, the documentary is starting to get out there - it even had enough momentum to help out with the LPU relief effort! Congratulations to Mike Brockhoff and the whole documentary team! We hope you find much more success. Keep being awesome!
Check out their anouncement here or after the break.
Hello there! The other mods are asleep. Post Ponies! I will post some news and some megathread goodies while I have some time between making my 3D printer and learning how to program FEM simulations. Continue after the break for badly-organized awesomeness!
Above is a recently made animation crossing over FiM with Starcraft. A fair amount of wit and skill was used in its production.
Also have a reminder to participate in this competition. Bronies are just barely in the lead. Let's keep it that way and make sure that Beleibers don't get the upper hand, lol.
Also you may have already seen this on EqD, but an animation (mostly sfw so far) was made by Tiarawhy recently. lol... funny top comments on Youtube.
And finally, as you may have heard an article in the New York Times randomly posted what seems to be official artwork for the Equestria Girls thing. The image can be found to the left side of the article or here. EqD got this one recently too, but it was submitted to us, so we might as well post it.
And the newest member of Mane6 Dev is... Lauren Faust! Well folks, the Fighting is Magic we knew is officially dead. But with Lauren's help, they'll be creating a game with all new characters. It doesn't seem likely, but a Galaxy Girls fighter, perhaps? We'll just have to wait and see, and continue to support the team. Read the official announcement here. You rock, Lauren.
Good news everyone! Shorty Awards finalists have been announced, including Tara Strong as best actress and MLP:FiM as 4th best show - nominations are up there with the likes of Pewdiepie, Minute Physics, and a canadian astronaut! ...That puts it in perspective, right? ...I may be biased. Looks like voting might still be open, so perhaps we can make sure Tara stays on top, and FiM climbs the ladder.
Also thanks to Jordan Olling for once again keeping us up-to-date.
See that? That is a Paint-and-Style Fluttershy, where you paint a Fluttershy-shaped clay model and then decorate it with stickers on the body and clips in the mane... In other words, you can literally stylize the Fluttershy you've ever wanted... Now, to wait for the other ponies to have their own versions of these...
But, wait... THERE'S MORE! Go right after the breaky-break to see some more new pony merch, courtesy of DHN...
Looks like another article on a local news channel site has popped up. Generally subjective. I'll be sure to check back later and see any comments. Gotta love those. Find the article here!
Mane6 has released an official response to all the questions about the recent C & D order. Check it out here. It seems they haven't completely exhausted their options but they're not getting their hopes up. They do say this isn't the end, though. Did they take up Lauren on her offer? We'll just have to see.
Filly Gamez, the people behind Welcome To Ponyville, are shutting down for a while. They have an official announcement here. Hopefully it isn't permanent, but we'll just have to see.
